One of my Lakenvelder chicks, just a few days old... poor thing, ~Shadowsecret (the hand) and I were making it bounce up and down to flap its wings, hoping to get a shot of it flapping. No luck, so we quit. The little guy spread out his wings for a few seconds, being tired, and I got the shot. One of those golden moments.

I'm interested to see what you guys think of this... obviously, I played with it a LOT more than normal.

Ooh, I like this a lot.
I especially love that you can see all those little feathers on that fuzzy thing.

And I also love the softness of the whole picture.
That was definitely a nice addition. :)

Yeep! Thank you so much! I'm really proud of this shot. :D I did a ton of editing, particularly on the background-- I tried not to touch the chick much because he just looked so cute... poor tired boy. ;)

YES. They are adorable. But a second one died, so now we only have 26... we're color-coding them with sharpies later to make them easier to count (if I don't know how many are missing, it's hard to find them in time). I'm excited to show them to you.
